Product Care
The main principle is always to follow the product-specific care instructions attached to our products.
Jacquard cotton velvet
The material typically doesn't require washing. Brushing and ventilation are the primary care methods.
- Do not soak velvet products. Excess colour from the dyeing process may come off in the first wash.
- For washing velvet items, use a soap-based detergent in 30-40°C water, ensuring an ample amount of water. Rinse thoroughly and use a gentle spin cycle.
- Gently brush velvet items in the direction of the warp. Iron the product when it is slightly damp.
Merino wool
Wool naturally repels dirt and bacteria, and often, simply airing it is sufficient for maintenance.
- Machine wash merino wool at 30ºC with a gentle spin cycle. Using wool detergent extends the lifespan of merino. Avoid using fabric softener.
- Dry flat to prevent stretching. Dryer heat can cause fibers to shrink.
- Pilling naturally occurs with wear. This can be easily addressed using a lint brush or fabric shaver.
Cotton denim
You don’t need to wash denim and jeans all the time. A few times per season should be more than enough. This makes denim last longer and helps the environment.
- For gentle machine washing of denim, 30°C or lower is ideal. Wash denim inside out to prevent color fading.
- Hang to dry, as dryer heat may cause shrinkage.
Cotton
Cotton can be machine or handwashed.
- Wash cotton in a washing machine at a temperature of 30°- 40°C.
- Hang the cotton item to dry, as dryer heat may cause it to shrink.
